Michael S. Kutzin is a partner in the New York City and White Plains, New York law firm of Goldfarb Abrandt Salzman & Kutzin LLP since 2001.

Michael graduated magna cum laude from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1984 and from NYU School of Law in 1987, where he was made a member of the Order of the Coif (top 10% of graduating class). He was admitted to practice in New York in 1988, and was admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court in 1989.

He is a member of the Trusts & Estates Section of the New York State Bar Association, and has served as a Vice Chair of its Estate Litigation Committee and co-chair of its subcommittee on Pre-Mortem Will Contests. He currently co-chairs the Section’s ad hoc committee on Elder Abuse and is Vice Chair of its Legislative and Governmental Committee.

He is also a member of the New York State Bar Association’s Elder Law Section, the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, the Estate Planning Council of Westchester, and the Real Property, Probate and Trusts Section of the American Bar Association.

Michael is an adjunct faculty member of the Heyman Center at NYU, where he teaches the Law of Nonprofit Management, and serves on the Board of Directors of several not-for-profit organizations.

He is a frequent lecturer, and has written numerous articles published in bar and legal publications.

Michael was also the winner of the New York Law Journal Fiction Writing Contest in 2005 for his first chapter of the novel, The Grannysnatchers.

Michael lives in Westchester County with his wife and two children.
